Grayling Tops Charlevoix for Noah’s Ark Trophy

CHARLEVOIX – The Grayling boys soccer team registered a 3-1 Lake Michigan Conference win over Charlevoix on Thursday.

After a scoreless first half, the two teams combined for four goals in the final 15 minutes of regulation.

Gabe Nano led the Vikings (5-1-3, 2-0-2) with a pair of goals, while Anthony Harrington tallied the third.

Danny Nesburg scored the lone goal for the Rayders (5-6, 1-3).

Thursday’s game was the third annual Noah Matthew Boss Memorial soccer match, played in honor of the son of Charlevoix coach Jon Boss.

After coming up short each of the first two years, Grayling took home the Noah’s Ark trophy with the victory.

Charlevoix welcomes in Boyne City on Monday, while Grayling hosts Elk Rapids.
