The Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association has named its 2017 All-State teams.

Below is a listing of northern Michigan athletes who have been honored.

      CHARLEVOIX - The Boyne City softball team began its 2017 playoff run with an 18-0 win over Harbor Springs.

      Kingsley advances in MHSAA districts

      KINGSLEY – Kingsley’s softball team topped Manton 4-2 Tuesday afternoon, advancing the Stags in the MHSAA playoffs. On Saturday, June 4, Kingsley will play Benzie Central for a spot in a Division 3 district final.

      PINE RIVER – Reed City softball won its first round district game 8-3 over Mason County Central. The Coyotes will face Pine River in a Division 3 district semifinal Saturday, June 4.

      Baldwin softball drops a pair against Onekama

      BADLWIN - Onekama traveled to Baldwin on Monday for a West Michigan D League softball doubleheader, winning game one, 17-11, and game two, 15-0. In game one, the Portagers wasted zero time getting on the board, with Lauren Johnson hitting an RBI single to center field. Alyssan Clarke scored on the play to make it a 1-0 ballgame.
