Manistee wrestling wins first district title since 2012

KALKASKA – The Manistee wrestling program captured its first Division 3 district championship since 2012 on Thursday at Kalkaska.  

The Chippewas registered a 55-24 win over Benzie Central in the district final.

Earlier in the night, Manistee secured a 66-12 win over Kingsley in semifinal action.

Benzie Central reached the finals by way of a 42-39 win over Kalkaska in the semifinals.

The Chippewas advance to the Gladstone regional next Wednesday.
