Cadillac Shuts Out Chippewa Hills Twice

CADILLAC – The Cadillac softball team recorded a pair of non-conference shutout wins over visiting Chippewa Hills on Thursday.

The Vikings opened with an 8-0 victory and closed out the nightcap with a 1-0 win in eight innings.

In the opener, Paige Sharp and Morgann Kanause drove in two runs apiece, while Taylor Mitchell and Brooke Cunningham each tallied two hits.

Gabby Hoagland struck out 11 in the win.

Emily Lalonde led Chippewa Hills with two hits.

Macie Metcalf was saddled with the loss, striking out seven.

In the nightcap, Cadillac’s Bosman delivered an RBI sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth to complete the sweep. Hoagland struck out 12 in the win.

Despite taking the loss, Sydney Wright tossed a no-hitter for the Warriors, fanning 12.
