TC Central Student-Athletes Announce College Decisions

TRAVERSE CITY – The athletic careers of more than a dozen Traverse City Central student-athletes will continue on at the collegiate level.

Fifteen Trojans announced their college commitments in a ceremony held at the school on Wednesday, with athletes attending NCAA Division I, III, NAIA and junior college institutions in the fall.

"I think we’re all super excited to go on to the next level and show these colleges what we have to offer,” said Jacob Steelman, who will play football at Davenport University.

Alpine skier Lars Hornburg will take his talents to Harvard University in the fall.

"I actually never thought that I’d be skiing in college, but now that I am, I just couldn’t be more excited,” he said.
