East Jordan Sprints Past Suttons Bay

SUTTONS BAY – East Jordan opened its first season under coach Greg Kitson with a 38-14 non-league win over Suttons Bay on Thursday.

Spencer Reid’s 65-yard punt return for a touchdown put the Red Devils (1-0) ahead 12-0 midway through the opening quarter, with Ryan Graham making it 18-0 after the first on a 23-yard scamper.

Trey Peterson gave East Jordan a 24-0 halftime lead on a 16-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Suttons Bay (0-1) continues its three-game homestand next Thursday, hosting Elk Rapids, while East Jordan welcomes in Mesick.
