Petoskey Shoots Past Mt. Pleasant
MT. PLEASANT – Holding a six-goal lead after the opening half, the Petoskey boys soccer team earned its first win of the season via a 7-1 victory over Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday.
Connor Wineman, Oli Peuker and Gavin Kerley tallied two goals apiece for the Northmen (1-2), while Nick Snider was credited with a goal.
David Paquette earned the win in net.
Tim Wilson scored the lone goal for the Oilers (0-3).
Mt. Pleasant is back on its home pitch Saturday morning, when it welcomes in Grand Rapids Northview, while Petoskey returns to action next Tuesday at Elk Rapids.
