Ferris State Shuts Out Ohio Dominican

BIG RAPIDS – Ferris State outgained Ohio Dominican on the ground, 302-53, as the Bulldogs opened up their season with a 41-0 shutout victory.

Quarterback Reggie Bell paced the FSU ground game with 102 yards on 14 carries, as 10 different players recorded a carry for Ferris State. 

Jamel Lockett hauled in nine passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns for the Bulldogs.

Bell had a passing and rushing touchdown in the first half, as the Bulldogs built a 17-0 halftime advantage.

The Ferris State defense stood tall, recording five sacks, forcing four Ohio Dominican turnovers and holding the Panthers to just 198 yards of total offense.

Ferris State next travels to the Upper Peninsula to take on Michigan Tech on Saturday, September 10.
