Carlisle Lifts Kalkaska Past Grayling

ELK RAPIDS – Caleb Carlisle’s header with 32 seconds remaining in regulation lifted the Kalkaska boys soccer team to a 2-1 win over Grayling in a Division 3 district opener at Elk Rapids on Monday.

Scoreless after the half, Jon Wednieski put the Blazers ahead 1-0 on a goal in the 54th minute. 

Darren Johnston responded with the equalizer in the 61st minute.

Kalkaska will face Cheboygan in a district semifinal on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
