Despite not making the post-season, the Detroit Tigers have decided to keep Brad Ausmus as their manager for at least one more season.
Wednesday, the team announced it is exercising the 2017 option on his contract.
Even though the Tigers were eliminated from playoff contention Sunday, the team’s 12-game improvement from the previous year was enough for Ausmus to keep his job.
