CMU Men Crush Indiana-Kokomo

MT. PLEASANT – Behind Marcus Keene’s 32 points, the Central Michigan men’s basketball team rolled to a 117-53 season-opening win over Indiana-Kokomo on Friday at McGuirk Arena.

Keene led six Chippewas (1-0) in double figures, as CMU outrebounded the NAIA school 72-32 and led 59-32 at the half.

Keene shot 11-of-18 from the field and was 7-of-10 from the free throw line.

Braylon Rayson and Cecil Williams joined Keene with double-doubles, with Rayson tallying 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Trent Elliot led Indiana-Kokomo with 19 points and six rebounds.

CMU travels to Tennessee Tech on Monday.
