Cross Country LP State Finals Results
Boys: Traverse City West boys finished in 21st as a team, with Robbie Lohr placing 35th as an individual.
Girls: Traverse City Central placed seventh as a team, with Sielle Kearney finishing in seventh in the individual competition. The team had two other top 100 placers in Brook Truxzkowski and Chloe Beyer. Haylee Geisthardt had the top performance for Mt. Pleasant, placing 145th.
Boys: Fremont finished in second place, led by five runners in the top 45. Ben Schmidt led the team with a 10th place finish. Chippewa Hills’ Austin Mathis finished in 73rd, while Petoskey’s Reid Goble placed 158th.
Girls: Cadillac finished in fifth place as a team, while Chippewa Hills placed 24th. Analynne Klotz led Cadillac with a 28th finish, while Chip Hills’ top placer was Deziree Shaw in 92nd. Ludington’s Lauren Biggs finished 11th as an individual. Big Rapids had three indivudal place in the top 45, with Meghan Langworthy placing the highest at 38th. Fremont’s Breonna Harris finished in 60th.
Boys: As a team, Shepherd finished in seventh. Other local teams to place were Benzie Central (9th), McBain (10th), Charlevoix (14th), Clare (15th), Traverse City St. Francis (18th), Beaverton (20th), and Sanford-Meridian (23rd).
Individually, Brayden Huddleston from Benzie Central finished in seventh place. Morley-Stanwood’s Aiden McLaughlin placed 17th. Other athletes to place in the top 50: Clare’s Ben Haupt (30th) and David Good (32nd), Shepherd’s Brynce Hegenauer (43rd), McBain’s Jordan Briggs (47th), and Hayden Bretzke from Benzie Central (50th).
Girls: Traverse City St. Francis won the state title as a team, with Benzie Central finishing third and Shepherd in fifth. Clare, Hart and Charlevoix also placed in the top 10 in sixth, seventh and ninth places respectively.
Hart’s Adelyn Ackley finished in first in the individual competition, with McBain’s Klaudia O’Malley and Shepherd’s Amber Gall placing in fourth and fifth, respectively. Alayna Ackley also performed well for hart, finishing in seventh. Clare’s Jasmine Harper finished in ninth. Traverse City St. Francis was led by Joyana Tarsa’s eight place finish and Katelyn Duffing finishing in 11th.
Boys: Harbor Springs and Bear Lake finished in second and third in the team competition, respectively. Beal City placed fifth, while Manton was in sixth. Evart finished in eighth, while Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart placed in 10th. Hesperia was in 16th, while Ellsworth was in 21st. Frankfort finished in 28th.
Jeremy Kloss led Harbor Springs with a second place finish, while Gary McBride came in eighth for Bear Lake. Alex Taylor from Beal City placed 11th. Other local athletes to finish in the top 20: Bear Lake’s Kaiden Hejl (12th), Evart’s Austin Hamilton (18th), Beal City’s David Reihl (19th) and Harbor Springs’ Zach Hunt (20th)
Girls: Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart finished in first place, while Harbor Springs finished in third. Manton came in seventh followed by Inland Lakes in eighth. Bear Lake finished in 11th, and Lake Leelanau St. Mary’s finished 15th. White Cloud finished in 24th.
Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart was led by three top five placers in Bailley McConnell (2nd), Alexis McConnell (4th) and Cammie McConnell (5th). Other local athletes to finish in the top 20: Harbor Springs’ Alyssa Kihnke (8th), Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart’s Lauren McDonald (11th), Harbor Springs’ Ellie Fleming (15th), Rogers City’s Emily Malocha, Inland Lakes’ Hailey Shank (19th), and Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart’s Scout Nelson (20th).
