Frankfort Edges Alcona Late

FRANKFORT – Sixth-ranked Frankfort rallied in the final minute of regulation for a 38-34 win over Alcona in a Division 8 district final on Friday.

Leading 22-20 after three quarters, the Panthers (11-0) found themselves trailing 34-30 with 53 seconds remaining in regulation. Griffin Kelly would answer with a 34-yard touchdown reception with under 15 seconds remaining for the winning score.

Frankfort advances to next week’s regional final, where it will face either Beal City or Muskegon Catholic Central.
