Pickford Rallies Past Engadine for Regional Title

ENGADINE – Trailing late in the fourth quarter, Pickford rallied for a 30-28 win over No. 3 Engadine in an 8-player regional final on Friday.

With the win, the Panthers (10-1) advance to their first state semifinal since making back-to-back appearances in the Class D semifinals in 1990 and 1991.

Tied at 8-8 after the opening quarter, Pickford took a 22-14 lead at the half.

Pickford will take on defending state champion Powers North Central (11-0) next week, while Engadine ends its best season in program history at 10-1.
