TC Central Falls to No. 1 Lowell

LOWELL – Ninth-ranked Traverse City Central’s quest for its first postseason title since 1988 came to end Friday with a 42-17 loss to No. 1 Lowell in a Division 2 district final.

The Trojans (9-2) took a 10-0 lead midway through the first quarter on a DeVante Walker 1-yard touchdown, but trailed 21-10 at the half.

Central was outgained 421-219, including 346-96 on the ground.
