Hudson paces Chippewa Women to 13-point victory

KENT – Presley Hudson scored a game-high 36 points to lead the Central Michigan Women’s Basketball team (9-4, 1-0) to a Mid-American Conference-opening victory over Kent State (6-7, 0-1).

Hudson shot nearly 73% from beyond the arc (8-of-11), and added six steals, five assists and four rebounds.  Tinara Moore chipped in with 20 points, and Cassie Breen scored 17 for CMU.  Jewel Cotton grabbed 10 rebounds to go with nine points.

Larissa Lurken scored 29 points in the losing effort for the Golden Flashes.

The Chippewas return to Mt. Pleasant to host Akron on Wednesday night.
