Hudson’s 26 Leads CMU Women over Illinois

MT. PLEASANT – Presley Hudson scored a game-high 26 points and the Central Michigan women’s basketball team improved to 8-3 with an 82-51 win over Illinois at McGuirk Arena on Monday.

Hudson was one of four Chippewas in double figures, as Cassie Breen tallied 18 points. Tinara Moore and Aleah Swary also chipped in with 14 and 12 points, respectively.

The Chippewas held a slim 19-17 lead after the opening quarter but pushed that lead to 39-28 by the half.

CMU held a 46-32 edge in rebounding and shot 48.3 percent (14-of-29) from 3-point range, moving to 3-4 all-time against Illinois.

CMU is now off until it visits Middle Tennessee State on Wednesday, Dec. 28.
