LSSU Men Blow Out Lake Erie

SAULT STE. MARIE – Behind a game-high 20 points from Akaemji Williams, the Laker Superior State men’s basketball rolled to an 84-54 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win over Lake Erie (Ohio) on Thursday.

Leading 41-21 at the half, the Lakers (5-2, 3-1) placed five scorers in double figures, with Michael Nicholson and Blake Marquardt tallying 16 and 15 points, apiece.

LSSU shot 46 percent (29-of-63) from the field.

Sean Howard was the lone player in double figures for the Storm (1-11, 1-4), scoring 14 points.

LSSU continues its three-game homestand against Walsh at 3 p.m. Saturday.
