TRAVERSE CITY – The Traverse City West hockey team dropped its opening game of Traverse City Central’s annual Scott Miller Memorial Tournament on Wednesday, falling 5-2 to Saginaw Heritage.
The Titans (3-3-1) trailed 2-1 after one period and 3-1 after two.
Zak Johnson and Joel Cerney both tallied goals for West.
West will take on the Bay Area Reps in a consolation game Thursday at 4 p.m. The Bay Reps fell to the defending tournament champion Plymouth Salem, 5-1, earlier Wednesday.
