CMU Men Look to Snap Losing Skid
MT. PLEASANT – A roller coaster season for the Central Michigan men’s basketball team can still end on a positive note as the Chippewas look to return to their winning ways as the Mid-American Conference tournament looms.
CMU (16-13, 6-10) has dropped five straight since handing Ohio a 97-87 loss back on Feb. 7.
With games against rivals Eastern Michigan on Tuesday and Western Michigan on Friday remaining, the Chippewas are currently the 11th seed in league play.
"It’s understanding that each and every time you step on the court, you’ve got a chance to win, but you also know that you’re going to go against, you know, really good competition,” coach Keno Davis said. “We know that our goals are all still ahead of us. It’s going to be that team that’s hot in March, not the team that has a stretch in January or February."
