John Bonamego Discusses 2017 Recruiting Class

Central Michigan football coach John Bonamego met with sports director Shannon McGrattan on Thursday to discuss his 2017 national recruiting class.

Among the recruits Bonamego highlights in his second recruiting class were Traverse City St. Francis All-State kicker Brady Buell, as well as Greenville tight end Keegan Cossou and defensive back Brandon Brown (Buffalo, N.Y.) from Canada Prep Football Academy.

“This particular class, we had a goal as a staff to get bigger and faster. We feel like we’ve accomplished that,” Bonamego said. “Six of the players stand 6-4 or taller and six of them have run 11.2 or faster in the 100. It’s a good class, it’s spread out, and it’s pretty evenly distributed offensively and defensively.”

The Chippewas will hold their spring game on Saturday, April 22.
