CMU Lacrosse Falls at Home to Coastal Carolina

MT. PLEASANT – The Central Michigan women’s lacrosse team dropped a 15-9 Atlantic Sun Conference game to visiting Coastal Carolina on Friday.

The Chippewas (4-6, 1-2) took a 2-0 lead in the opening minutes of the contest behind goals from Shannon Doyle and Jocelyne Lemay before the Chanticleers responded by ending the first half on an 8-4 run.

Lemay led CMU with four goals on five shots, while Emma Hamilton tallied three goals and two assists. Doyle ended the game with two goals.

Hope Murray registered three saves in net for the Chippewas.

CMU is back in action Sunday, hosting Furman at 10:30 a.m.
