MHSAA Announces 2017-18 Classifications

The Michigan High School Athletic Association has announced its 2017-18 school year classifications.

The 2017-18 season will have 21 schools moving up in class, while 24 schools will move down. In addition, six schools, including Mancelona North Central Academy, will be eligible to participate in postseason tournaments for the first time.

Classification Breakdown:

Class A: 881 or more students

Class B: 406-880 students

Class C: 204-405 students

Class D: 203 or fewer students
