Pine River Sprints Past Morley Stanwood for District Crown

LEROY – The Pine River girls basketball team cruised to a 64-35 win over Morley Stanwood in a Class C district championship on Friday.

The Bucks (21-2) led 14-12 after the opening quarter and 28-15 at the half.

Kierra Justin led Pine River with a game-high 20 points, while Julie Justin tallied 17. 

The Mohawks close their season at 12-10

Pine River will take on Montabella in a regional semifinal at Beal City on Tuesday.
