Suttons Bay Upsets Frankfort for District Championship

LAKE LEELANAU – The Suttons Bay boys basketball team held on to claim a Class D district title with a 59-57 victory over rival Frankfort on Friday.

The eighth-ranked Panthers led 25-23 at the half but trailed 44-37 after three quarters.

Frankfort closes out its season at 16-7.

Suttons Bay (13-10) will now take on No. 6 Bellaire in a regional semifinal at Traverse City Central on Monday.
