VanWormer, Pennock Earn WCHA All-Academic Honors

BIG RAPIDS – A pair of northern Michigan student-athletes have been named to the Western College Hockey Association’s All-Academic Team.

Traverse City native Jared VanWormer and Big Rapids’ Trace Pennock are two of 16 Ferris State hockey players to earn All-Academic Team recognition.

Student-athletes must have at least a 3.00 overall grand point average for the previous two semesters to qualify for the recognition.

VanWormer recently completed his senior season with the Bulldogs as a forward, while Pennock wrapped up his junior year.
