Petoskey Softball Sweeps Cadillac

PETOSKEY – The Petoskey softball team hosted its third annual Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Softball Game and swept the Cadillac Vikings, 4-0 and 2-1.

For everyone involved, it was special to raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis.

"It means a lot to me, because not a lot of people know about Cystic Fibrosis.  So there’s a lot of purple,” Petoskey sixth grader Kurtis Mainland said.

"The support that we see in the community, and the softball team, and each year the girls and the parents say we’re learning more and more each time,” event organizer Megan Mainland said. “They wouldn’t even know what Cystic Fibrosis was, if we didn’t do the game."
