Chow Stretches Lead at Michigan Women’s Open

THOMPSONVILLE – Marissa Chow secured a two-stroke lead after the second round of the 24th Michigan PGA Women’s Open at Crystal Mountain Resort’s Mountain Ridge course on Tuesday.

The Honolulu resident fired a 68 on Tuesday and sits at 7-under-par. Lindsey McPherson and Casey Danielson are tied for second at 5-under-par, with McPherson shooting a 78 in the second round.

Defending champion Suzy Green-Roebuck is tied for 14th at even par.

Glen Lake graduate Nichole Cox made the cut and is tied for 60th at 9-over-par. Cox, who shot a 79 on Tuesday, carded a 74 on Monday.

Traverse City’s Taylor Kehoe and Hunter Kehoe both missed the cut, finished at 17 over and 33 over, respectively.

Final-round play begins Wednesday morning.
