MIDLAND – The West All-Stars secured a 5-2 win over the East All-Stars in the Midwest League All-Star Game at Dow Diamond on Tuesday.

Trailing 1-0 through three innings, the West All-Stars took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth on a Lewin Diaz home run. Monte Harrison would then follow up Lewin’s home run with a solo shot in the seventh and a two-run home run to left field in the ninth to give West a 5-1 lead.

Great Lakes Loons shortstop Brendon Davis homered in the bottom of the ninth to cut the East deficit to three runs.

Braden Webb of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers earned the win for the West, tossing a 1/3 inning and recording strikeout.

Gregory Soto of the West Michigan Whitecaps took the loss for the East, allowing two earned runs on two hits in an inning of work.
