NFL Hall of Famer Dierdorf Visits Petoskey

PETOSKEY – Former Michigan football player and NFL Hall of Famer Dan Dierdorf visited Petoskey Bay View Country Club, meeting fans and telling them stories about his playing days.

The money raised went to a scholarship fund to help students attend the University of Michigan as freshmen.

Dierdorf enjoyed meeting fans in northern Michigan and helping out the students.

"I just love being in northern Michigan. My wife and I, we just spend all summer up here. We’re not just coming in for a couple of weeks. We move up here in early May, and stay until late October, and so this is home,” Dierdorf said. “And it’s doubly satisfying to do something for the University of Michigan.”

Dierdorf played in 160 games as an offensive lineman in the NFL and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1996.
