Players Enjoy Traverse City During Red Wings Development Camp

A number of young hockey prospects are in Northern Michigan, getting their first opportunity to explore the Cherry Capital during their time off from the Detroit Red Wings Development Camp.

As the host of the training camp, Traverse City calls itself “Hockeytown North.”

With some time off, players now have the chance to check out the area’s entertainment for team bonding activities.

Red Wings’ prospect Dominik Shine said, “We get to stay by the beach, and get to do some fun stuff with all of the guys. People don’t realize how close you get with the guys here, just in a week, so just to be able to spend time with them is really fun.”

The Wings’ Development Camp continues through Tuesday at Centre Ice Arena.
