Beach Bums Drop 10th Straight, Fall to Wild Things

TRAVERSE CITY – The Traverse City Beach Bums dropped their 10th contest with a 3-1 loss to the Washington Wild Things at Wuerfel Park on Tuesday.

Tied at 1-1 in the top of the eighth, Hector Roa drove in James Harris and Justin Bohn on a two-run single for the Wild Things (37-30).

Jeff DeBlieux drove in the lone run for the Beach Bums (24-42), bringing Josh Hauser home on a triple to right field in the bottom of the third to tie the game at 1-1. Traverse City was held to just four hits.

Kramer Champlin was saddled with the loss after allowing three runs (one earned) on six hits while striking out five over 7 2/3 innings.

Trevor Foss picked up the win, giving up one run on four hits while fanning four over eight innings of work.

The two teams continue their three-game series Wednesday. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
