Ferris State Hockey Family Comes Together For 31st Annual Bulldog Alumni Golf Outing

The Ferris State Hockey family came together Saturday afternoon for the 31st Annual Bulldog Alumni Golf Outing.

190 golfers hit the greens today at Katke Golf Course in Big Rapids for the event that grows each year.

Some former players in attendance even date back to the original team formed in 1976.

Though friendly competition is fun for all, the goal of the event focuses on reconnecting teammates and coaches.

“I don’t think people come here for the golf. Everyone’s coming back here to get with their classmates, their teammates, and then get back with our fans and our boosters. It’s a great day,” says Ferris State Hockey Coach Bob Daniels.

Texas Stars forward and Ferris State alumnus Greg Rallo says, “It’s great to see all of the guys I played with, and getting to know a lot of the younger guys, all of the different generations of Bulldogs. It’s fun coming back and being a part of this.”

The Bulldogs hit the practice ice shortly after the start of the new school year. Their first game is Friday, October 6th, at Western Michigan University.
