Toledo Spoils Central Michigan Homecoming With Victory in Mt. Pleasant
Mount Pleasant – The Central Michigan University Chippewas looked to top Toledo at Saturday’s homecoming game in front of more than 15,000 fans.
In the end, Toledo defeated Central 30-10.
The Chippewas, now 3-4 overall and 1-2 in MAC play, averaged 3 yards per run play, totaling 62 yards on the ground.
As the rain poured at Kelly/Shorts Stadium, quarterback Shane Morris completed 17 of 37 pass attempts for 182 yards.
Mark Chapman led CMU with five catches for 71 yards, and tight end Tyler Conklin finished with three for 48.
Next up for the Chippewas, they face Ball State Saturday, October 21st.
