BUCKLEY – The fourth-ranked Forest Area volleyball team won its third straight Class D district title with a 3-0 win over Mesick on Friday.
The Warriors (49-5) won by scores of 25-4, 25-9 and 25-10.
The win marks the first time in program history that Forest Area has won three straight district championships.
Payton Leonard led the Warriors with 12 kills and six digs, while Kelsey Mills had seven kills, five aces and six digs.
Forest Area will now face Muskegon Catholic Central in regional semifinal at Big Rapids Crossroads on Tuesday.
