Cadillac’s Kapuscinski Inks with CMU

CADILLAC – Cadillac senior setter Gabby Kapuscinski signed her National Letter of Intent with the Central Michigan volleyball program on Thursday.

A 2017 Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association Class B First Team All-State and All-Region honoree, Kapuscinski led the Vikings to a 2016 Class B state semifinal appearance and their ninth consecutive regional championship this fall.

“Looking at Central, like, it was just the best fit for me,” Kapuscinski said. “I love everything about the volleyball program and their coaching staff. I also loved their educational buildings. I’m going in there as a setter for right now, which is different for me, because I haven’t set a whole bunch. But, I love setting, and I think just to work hard, and to improve myself and improve the team as best as I can.”

Kapuscinski joins a CMU program that went 15-14 this season and finished third in the Mid-American Conference West division.

A member of the 2017 MIVCA Individual Academic All-State team, Kapuscinski has an interest in a pre-med course of study.
