Clare’s Kunse Signs with Trine

CLARE – Clare senior guard/forward Natalee Kunse signed her National Letter of Intent with Trine (Ind.) University and its women’s basketball program.

A four-year varsity member, Kunse has captained Clare’s program for three years and is a three-time Jack Pine Conference First Team member. Kunse also was a 2017 Associated Press All-State Honorable Mention team member and a Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan Best Honorable Mention and a BCAM Individual Academic All-State honoree in 2017.

“Natalee is the hardest worker I have coached in my four years of coaching varsity basketball,” Clare coach Kevin Richards said. “She is the definition of a student-athlete. She is always trying to improve not only as a player, but also as a leader. She provides a great example in our program and her countless hours of work outside of practice is something that people don’t notice. You can’t just replace a plyer like this. Trine University is lucky to have someone so dedicated with her work ethic.”

Through three-plus years, Kunse has tallied 814 points, 395 rebounds and 179 assists.
