CMU Football Announces 2018 MAC Opponents

Central Michigan announced its Mid-American Conference opponents for the 2018 season on Tuesday.

The Chippewas will play four home games and four road games in the conference, with Ball State, Western Michigan, Buffalo and Bowling Green coming to Kelly/Shorts Stadium. CMU will travel to Eastern Michigan, Northern Illinois, Toledo and Akron. Dates and times for MAC games will be released at a later date.

CMU is scheduled to open the 2018 season on Sept. 1 at Kentucky. The Chippewas will then welcome in Kansas on Sept. 8 and Maine on Sept. 22, before closing out its non-conference schedule at Michigan State on Sept. 29.

The Chippewas (8-4) posted their first eight-win season this year since 2009 and will face Wyoming (7-5) in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in Boise, Idaho, on Friday, Dec. 22.
