CMU Men Overwhelm Montana State for 6th Straight Win

MT. PLEASANT – Kevin McKay scored a game-high 17 points as the Central Michigan men’s basketball team won for the sixth straight time with a 75-48 victory over Montana State Tuesday at McGuirk Arena.

McKay finished 8-of-14 from the field with six rebounds, as the Chippewas (7-1) held a 37-20 lead at the half.

Shawn Roundtree and Cecil Williams scored 14 points apiece for CMU, with David DiLeo reaching double figures with 13 points.

Although outrebounded 40-38, CMU shot 47.5 percent (28-of-59) from the field, compared to just 28.8 percent (27-of-59) for Montana State.

Harald Frey led the Bobcats (6-4) with 12 points.

The Chippewas are back on their home court Saturday, hosting Tennessee Tech at 1 p.m.
