CMU’s Coleman Headed to NFLPA Collegiate Bowl
MT. PLEASANT – Central Michigan senior defensive back Amari Coleman has accepted a bid to play in next month’s NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.
In 10 games this season, Coleman tallied 42 total tackles, four tackles for loss and three interceptions with a one return for a touchdown.

Coleman is a two-time All-Mid-American Conference First Team Defense selection and is the third Chippewa to accept a postseason All-Star bowl game invitation this fall, joining senior defensive lineman Joe Ostman (East-West Shrine) and senior tight end Tyler Conklin (Senior Bowl).
First played in 2012, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl is sponsored by the NFL Players Association and is one of three FBS All-Star bowl games. The contest is set for Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
