Coaches’ Profile: Gaylord’s Jerry LaJoie

GAYLORD – The Gaylord wrestling program has long been one of the best in northern Michigan.

Longtime coach Jerry LaJoie is in his 24th year at Gaylord, having led the Blue Devils to 10 consecutive Big North Conference and district championships. In his time, LaJoie has guided 14 athletes combined to MHSAA individual state championships and runner-up finishes.

He entered the 2017-18 season with a 632-131-2 career record.
