DiLeo Leads CMU Over Lawrence Tech

MT. PLEASANT – David DiLeo scored 25 points and the Central Michigan men’s basketball team closed out its non-conference slate with a 91-73 win over Lawrence Tech at McGuirk Arena on Friday.

Cecil Williams and Shawn Roundtree joined DiLeo in double figures with 20 and 16 points, respectively.

CMU took a 61-36 lead at the half and shot 47.9 percent (35-of-73) from the field, holding a 39-31 edge in rebounding.

Ty’rese Searles led the Blue Devils (1-13) with 27 points in 36 minutes of the bench.

CMU opens Mid-American Conference play at home against Ohio on Tuesday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
