Ferris State Falls in Quarterfinal Thriller to Harding

BIG RAPIDS – The Ferris State Bulldogs took on Harding (Ark.) Saturday in the NCAA Division 2 Quarterfinal.

The Bulldogs led the Bisons 14-13, but with seconds left on the clock Tristan Parsley kicked a game-winning field goal to give Harding the 16-14 victory, claiming the Super Region 3 Championship.

This was the second straight year Ferris State made it to the National Quarterfinals, and the first time in program history the Bulldogs hosted a December contest at Top Taggart Field.

“Coaches lose. Our players fought their butts off. I’ll take full responsibility for the loss. I do every time we lose, and I haven’t had to do it much here at Ferris State,” says Tony Annese, Ferris State’s Head Coach.

The Bulldogs finished their 2017 season 11-2 overall.
