I-500 Kicks off Golden Anniversary
SAULT STE. MARIE – The 50th anniversary of the International 500 snowmobile race officially kicked off on Tuesday with qualifying for the world’s longest snowmobile race.
Bunke Racing took the top two spots following the first round of qualifying.
Qualifying and practice for the I-500 continues Wednesday and Thursday. The G.L.A.S.S.-Brad Redman Memorial runs Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.
Qualfying for the Woody’s Challenge continues Wednesday, with the 40-lap race taking place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
The green flag drops on the I-500 at 10 a.m. Saturday.
