CMU Men Fall at Home to Miami

MT. PLEASANT – The Central Michigan men’s basketball team dropped its fifth contest in six games with a 70-61 loss to Miami (Ohio) Tuesday McGuirk Arena.

Kevin McKay led CMU with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Shawn Roundtree and Cecil Williams joined McKay in double figures with 15 and 14 points.

The Chippewas (13-7, 2-5 MAC) trailed 33-27 at the half and shot just 37.7 percent (23-of-61) from the field.

Nike Sibande paced the RedHawks (11-9, 4-3) with a game-high 22 points.

Miami outrebounded CMU 41-32.

CMU continues its three-game home stand against Kent State on Saturday. Tipoff is slated for 4:30 p.m.
