LSSU Women Fall at Home to Davenport

SAULT STE. MARIE – Despite a team-high 14 points from St. Ignace graduate Abby Ostman, the Lake Superior State women’s basketball team dropped a 73-55 league contest to visiting Davenport on Thursday.

Ostman was 5-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-5 from long range in 29 minutes off the bench.

Lexie Khon joined Ostman in double figures with 13 points.

The Lakers (0-10, 0-6 GLIAC) trailed 20-11 after the opening quarter and 41-26 at the half.

Emily Severn led the Panthers (5-8, 3-3 GLIAC) with 20 points.

LSSU returns to the court Saturday at Wayne State. Tipoff is slated for 1 p.m.
