Bear Lake Holds off Brethren as Pringle Scores 1,000th Point
BEAR LAKE – The Bear Lake girls basketball team held off Brethren for a 37-35 overtime win on Tuesday.
The Lakers took an 18-14 lead the half and entered Tuesday’s game tied atop the West Michigan D League standings with Pentwater and one-game ahead of Brethren.
Brethren’s Mariah Pringle scored her 1,000th career point in the loss, entering the night 12 points shy of the feat. She finished the game with 22 points.
Bear Lake (12-4, 10-1) travels to Pentwater on Thursday, while Brethren (10-6, 8-3) visits Manistee Catholic Central.
