Frankfort’s Kelly, Stefanski Sign with GLIAC Schools
FRANKFORT – Two Frankfort football players signed their National Letters of Intent to play football at the collegiate level on Wednesday.
The two Panthers will both be playing at the Division II level. Senior Griffin Kelly will continue his football career at Northern Michigan University. He will be joining a program that went 1-9 overall last season.
“Just the excitement of signing and being on a new team next year is going to be different, but I’m excited for it,” Kelly said.

Senior Matthew Stefanski signed to play at Grand Valley State University. He joins a historically talented Laker program that went 8-3 last season.
“I’m excited to be a part of another great tradition like Frankfort, definitely, that’s the most exciting part. I’m happy to start a new chapter of my life,” Stefanski said.
The two are used to being teammates but now are Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference (GLIAC) rivals. Both Kelly and Stefanski look forward to playing each other.

“Playing with Matthew was great because I ran behind him all the time. He’s a big guy and a great person too,” Kelly said.
“It’s something I look forward to, it will be fun to play against him and hopefully we win, I think we’re going to,” Stefanski said.
The two will begin their athletic and academic careers this fall.
