Red Wings Trade Tatar to Vegas

Tomas Tatar appeared in 407 career games with Detroit.

DETROIT – The Detroit Red Wings made another roster move prior to Monday’s 3 p.m. trade deadline, sending center Tomas Tatar to the Vegas Golden Knights in exchange for three draft picks.

Detroit’s leading goal scorer since the 2014-15 season, Tatar appeared in 62 games this season, tallying 28 points on 16 goals and 12 assists. Drafted by the Red Wings in the second round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Tatar has recorded 222 points on 115 goals and 107 assists over 407 career games in seven seasons.

Detroit will receive a first-round pick in 2018, a second-round pick in 2019 and a third-round selection in 2021.

The Red Wings traded goalie Petr Mrazek to the Philadelphia Flyers last week for future draft picks.
