Reed City’s Morrison Signs with Aquinas

REED CITY – Reed City senior student-athlete Hunter Morrison signed his National Letter of Intent with Aquinas College and its baseball program on Wednesday.

Morrison, who is being considered as a pitcher or middle infielder by Aquinas, helped lead Reed City win Central State Activities Association and district championships in 2017 and was named an All-District and All-Region honoree last spring. Morrison tallied 114 strikeouts in 70 innings on the mound in 2017.

“Ever since I was, like, six, I’ve been playing baseball. I’ve wanted to play at the next level so bad, and now I’m here,” Morrison said. β€œIt’s really cool. It’s an honor just doing this and everything. Yeah, I wasn’t really aware that I’m like one of the only few that have done this for baseball. Like, just to think about that, that is so cool, and I’m so excited to do this.”

Morrison heads to Aquinas undecided on a major, but he is leaning towards business or engineering.
